Nourishing The Conversation With Louise van Rhyn

RI President Kalyan Banerjee is asking Rotarians to Reach Within to Embrace Humanity during the 2011-12 Rotary year.

Echoing Mahatma Gandhi’s call to “be the change you wish to see in the world,” Banerjee said If we wish for peace, we start by living in peace ourselves, in our homes and in our communities….If we wish environmental degradation to stop, if we wish to reduce child mortality or to prevent hunger, we must be the instrument of that change — and recognize that it must start within us, with each of us.”

“Discover yourself, develop the strengths within you, and then unhesitatingly, unflinchingly, go forth and encircle the world, to embrace humanity,” he said during the opening plenary session of the 2011 International Assembly.

Facilitator and keynote speaker Louise van Rhyn does this with joy

“Louise teaches us how to be courageous and to stand up for what we believe… her vision, insights and wisdom around the power of human beings to co-create greatness together, bring light to the world… Louise’s work is making a profound contribution to us all.” says bestselling author Judith E. Glaser.

Forbes calls her “a pioneer in leadership”

Louise has worked with many of the world’s leading organizations, including Wyeth, Morgan Stanley and the BBC, helping them to embrace change in extraordinary ways, as well as to reap the benefits of change in tangible ways.

People who have participated in workshops and meetings she has facilitated say:

“The transparency and trust is exceptional..”

“– brought out the best of both the presenters and participants.”

“A great day, full of fun, humor and real work with a focus on real actions to take us forward successfully. It was superb”

In this video clip

Louise talks about the work she does, the possibilities it uncovers and the joy she experiences in helping people live lives of meaning and purpose.

As Rotary founder Paul Harris said: “This is a changing world; we must be prepared to change with it.”
