My wife Monique has a Zoom Presentation – “Hearing Loss – The Silent Epidemic”. She has spoken to over 200 Rotary Clubs. This includes over 100 Zoom and 100 in person presentations to clubs in the US, Canada, Australia and Scotland. Monique has also spoken in person to over 185 other community organizations and employee groups about Hearing Loss. Monique and I are also Rotarians. We are between clubs as our club closed, but are looking at joining a Passport Club in our area.
In her presentation, Monique discusses various aspects of hearing and stresses that hearing loss is permanent and not only for older people anymore. She also discusses how to prevent hearing loss and ways to better cope with it. Monique is working to help Rotarians be able to help their families and friends to Save Their Ears. Monique discusses how COVID-19 is impacting hearing loss. All of her presentations have been well received – usually with lots of questions and good discussion. People comment that it is very interesting and also fun to hear Monique. Please let me know if you are interested in having Monique do a Zoom presentation.

Background - Monique is a hospital pharmacist, who lost hearing in her left ear due to a loud band at a church fundraiser – she quit her job, did five years of research and wrote the book: What Did You Say? The Unexpected Journey into the World of Hearing Loss – now in its 2nd Edition.
