In 2016, the District 7040 DG appointed me chair of the Fellowships Committee. Rotary Fellowships give their members the opportunity to have fun, make new friends around the world, and enhance their experience in Rotary.
I was able to enjoy the benefit of Rotary Fellowships internationally in 2016 when I completed Rotary Friendship Tours to India, Sri Lanka and Pakistan.

For those Rotarians not familiar with Rotary Fellowships; there are number of benefits to Rotary Fellowships:
  • Opportunities for Rotarians to make lasting friendships outside of their own club, district and country
  • Contribute to the advancement of world understanding and peace
  • Serve as an incentive for attracting new members and for retaining existing members
  • Further vocational development through acquaintance with others of the same profession.
  • Make new friends around the world
  • Explore new opportunities for service
On the 2016 friendship tour I was able to visit humanitarian projects including Polio Eradication activities, enjoy local cultural activities and home hosting in Nagpur, Chennai, Sri Lanka and Karachi.
