A Message From District Governor Sue Bellor

The Rotary International theme for 2017-2018 is Rotary: Making a Difference. But what I know in my heart is that Rotary makes a difference because of the hard work and dedication of Rotarians Who Are Making A Difference.
During my years working in District 7040 leading up to this, my year as District Governor, I've had the privilege of working with many dedicated Rotarians. That's why I want to recognize a few of the many, many Rotarians who have made this district the outstanding organization that it is. District 7040 is unique in that it spans two countries including one U.S. state, three Canadian provinces with two languages. This creates unique challenges but also brings together a diverse group of individuals with a truly international outlook.
The following Profiles of Rotarians Who Are Making A Difference is an opportunity for everyone to get to know some of the hard working individuals who are dedicating their time working behind the scenes to help each club in District 7040 make a difference in our local communities as well as across the globe.

I'm pleased to announce we are expanding this recognition effort to include Rotarians who have been awarded the Rotarian of the Year Award (or whatever award your club gives to deserving members.
During my term as District Governor, I would like to extend that recognition District-wide. I am hoping every Rotary Club in District 7040 will send me information and a photo about their club's Rotarian of the Year so we can publish a mention about the honor on our District website.
I've been working with our District Website Administrator, Roger Black, to make this process as easy as possible to complete. Roger created an online form where you can send us all the information and photo we will need to do a good job of honoring your member. This form can be viewed HERE
