DGND Barbara Fisk, DGE Graeme Fraser, DG Teresa Whitmore and IPDG Pardeep Ahluwalia welcome a new Rotary Year at Domaine Perrault Winery

As June draws to a close, the Rotary world comes alive with the spirit of renewal. Over 46,000 clubs and the districts that serve them participate in their annual "changeover" - a time-honored tradition that bridges the past year's achievements with the promise of the future. District 7040 Rotarians and Rotaractors embraced this tradition on June 22nd at the picturesque Domaine Perrault Winery.

The event served two significant purposes:

1. To express heartfelt gratitude to 2023-24 District Governor Pardeep Ahluwalia for a year of remarkable accomplishments and dedicated leadership.

2. To welcome and support incoming District Governor Tess Whitmore as she embarks on what promises to be an exciting and impactful 2024-2025 Rotary year.

Four trees were planted celebrating the event for future generations to enjoy and appreciate.

DGE Graeme Fraser said: “Pardeep spoke about his experiences this past year and the remarkable work that was done in our district, while Teresa told us what to expect in the new Rotary Year. All of this took place on a glorious day surrounded by many Rotarians and friends at an energizing event. Was it a great day to be a Rotarian...you bet!”

DGN Barbara Fisk said it was: "Awesome to see so many Rotarians from all parts of the district come together to celebrate PDG Pardeep’s leadership and welcome DG Teresa to her year of adventure. It was especially heartwarming to share our event with Rotarians from Brazil and Afghanistan too!"

This changeover not only marked the transition of leadership but also reinforced the continuity of Rotary's mission and the enduring bonds of fellowship that span the globe. As we turn this new page, we look forward to another year of service, growth, and making a difference in our communities and beyond.

DG Teresa especially says Thank You to Mashooda Syed and the Rotary Club of Orleans for a well-organized and beautiful District Changeover event.
