The District 7040 Global Grant Scholarship committee is pleased to announce that Caitlin Grady, a native of Chelsea QC and endorsed by the RC Ottawa South, has been selected as the D 7040 Global Grant Scholar for 2022-23.
 
Caitlin, who  speaks English and French, graduated from the CEGEP de l'Outaouais in Gatineau, and from Dalhousie University in Halifax with a degree in Environment, Sustainability & Society and Biology with a minor in Political Science.  She received the Loran Award for undergraduate studies as well as the McCall MacBain International Fellowship which enabled her to learn Spanish and complete her studies in Costa Rica.  She currently works for CPAWS and will pursue her studies at Sciences Po, the School of International Affairs in Paris, France.
 
Caitlin's Area of Focus is Environment; she plans to pursue a career in international environmental policy and hopes to be able work for the United Nations Environmental Programme (UNEP) through support for the development and implementation of global climate and biodiversity agreements.
Le comité des subventions mondiales pour les bourses du district 7040 est heureux d'annoncer que Caitlin Grady, originaire de Chelsea QC et approuvée par le RC Ottawa Sud, a été sélectionnée comme boursière du D 7040 subvention mondiale pour l’année 2022-2023.
 
Caitlin, qui parle anglais et français, est diplômée du CÉGEP de l'Outaouais à Gatineau et de l'Université Dalhousie à Halifax avec un diplôme en environnement, durabilité et société et en biologie avec une mineure en sciences politiques.  Elle a reçu le prix Loran pour ses études de premier cycle ainsi que la bourse internationale McCall MacBain qui lui a permis d'apprendre l'espagnol et de terminer ses études au Costa Rica. Elle travaille actuellement pour la CPAWS et poursuivra ses études à Sciences Po, l'École des affaires internationales de Paris, France.
 
L'axe straégique de Caitlin est l'environnement; elle envisage de poursuivre une carrière dans la politique environnementale internationale et espère pouvoir travailler pour le Programme des Nations Unies pour l'environnement (PNUE) en tant que soutien à l'élaboration et à la mise en œuvre d'accords mondiaux sur le climat et la biodiversité.
