On April 6th, our District 7040 Rotary Leadership Institute graduated our second Part III class completing their Undergraduate Level. Left to right are: Jenn Grisi (Saranac Lake), Chris Thompson (D7040 Passport), Margaret Shipley (D7040 Passport), Jamie Johnstone (Montreal Westward & NDG), PDG Michel Wong Kee Song, Gerhard Peters (Arnprior), Jane Peters (Arnprior), Michael Griffin (Potsdam) and Charles Ezin (St. Jerome).
Faculty for these three parts included PDGBette Miller & PDGKatie Burke (Cornwall Sunrise) as well as PDGBonnie Black (Plattsburgh).
The next RLI event in District 7040 will be held in Cornwall at the Best Western on Saturday, August 17, 2024, when Part I will be offered. Registration for this event is already open, so all interested Rotarians are encouraged to sign up as soon as possible as sessions will be closed once 25 registrants is met.
Our District encourages all Rotarians with less than 5 years in their club to consider enrolling in Part I to learn more about Rotary and how to develop a passion for the world’s largest international service organization and strengthen our clubs.
- RLI is not an official program of Rotary International and is not under its control.
- RLI seeks to have Rotary Clubs in its member districts identify those Rotarians who appear to have the potential for future club leadership (not necessarily as club presidents) and provide those so identified with a quality education in Rotary knowledge and leadership skills so important in voluntary organizations.
Part 2 will be offered on Saturday, October 5th with Part 3 on Saturday, January 4th; registration for both are open online at this time.
